Capri
Capri was a special little island that we visited our last day on the Amalfi Coast. We took a ferry in from Positano (about a 30 minute ride) and spent a few hours exploring. I have to say it was a bit more touristy than what I was expecting, but it was fun walking around nonetheless. Capri worked our calf muscles, too, but there were also these open-top taxis, as well as the anacapri (railway) that could take you up or down the island. The first thing we did when we arrived though, was take a 2-hour boat ride around the island. It's a little confusing how to buy tickets, but I think essentially you can buy them from any of the vendors selling them by the dock, that is the same ticket for the same tour. I also thought 2-hours was a short ride, but by the end, I was definitely ready to get off (haha). The Blue Grotto, a sea cave where the water looks electric blue due to the sunlight passing through an underwater cave, was really cool and different from anything I've seen before.
So this is the end to our Amalfi Coast travel diary series. Be sure to check out Praiano, Positano, and Amalfi & Ravello if you have not already. The coast was such a beautiful experience, and looking forward to doing it all over again one day. La vita è bella!
